Hirad Assimi

Ph.D. Candidate

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at school of computer science, University of Adelaide, Australia. My Research focuses presently on reliability-based optimization for real-world applications. My thesis is supervised by Prof. Frank Neumann and co-supervised by Dr. Markus Wagner. I received my M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2017 from University of Guilan, Iran. My master thesis is entitled “Multi-objective optimum topology design of trusses using genetic programming” under the supervision of Dr. Ali Jamali. I also have studied about topology optimization of concentrating solar power plants incorporating thermal energy storage for partial fulfillment of the B.Sc degree. My research interests include Multidisciplinary Design Optimization, Metaheuristic algorithms, Reliability-based Design, Renewable Energies, and Intelligent Control.
